GNU Free Documentation License How do you remove the scent of conventional clothes detergent from second hand clothes? Q. I am sensitive to chemicals and need to know how to remove the residue of conventional clothes detergent from second hand clothes I buy without using any more chemicals! I have tried washing the items multiple times in a natural clothes detergent but with no success - the item still reeks of the problem detergent.
